Making television accessible

This report highlights the importance of making television content accessible to people with disabilities, given that television is the preferred vehicle for getting news and information to the public and is also an important education and entertainment source.  The study also identifies various types of television access services, as well as the different accessibility options required by people with disabilities, focusing in particular on digital terrestrial television.

The ITU's report was prepared in cooperation with G3ict -  The Global Initiative for Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies, whose mission is to promote the ICT accessibility dispositions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
