Applicability of the obligation of selective barring of communications with regard to contracts agreed prior to the entry into force of Law no. 51/2011

By determination of 22 December 2011, ANACOM has approved a position on the obligation of barring access to message-based value added services (VAS), pursuant to paragraph 3 of article 45 of Law no. 5/2004 of 10 February, as amended by Law no. 51/2011 of 13 September. As set out in the approved position, the obligation of barring applies to all prevailing contracts agreed with companies which offer public electronic communications networks and publicly available electronic communications services supporting the provision of message-based value added services.
