The document describes the threats and technology risks, as well as the safeguards related to public cloud environments, and provides information to help resolve risk situations.
The NIST states that the document does not prescribe or recommend any specific cloud computing service or deployment model. Each organization is instead expected assess, select, engage, and oversee the most appropriate services.
