The IV General Assembly of the Association of Communications and Telecommunications Regulators of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (ARCTEL-CPLP) was held in Praia, Cape Verde, between 23 and 26 April 2012, along with the III Lusophone Forum of Communications and II Technology Show.
At the General Assembly, approval was given to the report and accounts of the previous year and to the Activities Plan for the next two years. Elections were also held, for the posts of President, Vice-president and Secretary for 2012 - 2013.
The Lusophone Forum of Communications, focusing on the theme "Trends, Panorama and Challenges of International Roaming", brought together a group of speakers reflecting the broad relevance of the theme to different participants in the communications sector (regulators, international associations, operators and consumer associations).
Meanwhile, the II Technology Show gave sector participants an opportunity to catch up on the latest advances in the Portuguese language community and strengthen or establish contacts, partnerships and opportunities in the business sector.
