DTT - Consultation on scenarios for the evolution of the network

By determination of 18 January 2013, ANACOM has approved the launch of a public consultation on scenarios for the evolution of the current digital terrestrial television (DTT) network.

DTT implementation has revealed that certain situations have had an impact on the quality of DTT signal reception, particularly as regards its stability. The main objective of the consultation document is to find a solution which minimizes the likelihood of such difficulties, considering, on the one hand, the need to minimize the impact of implementation on the population and, on the other, that the solution must be sufficiently robust and stable in light of the likely scenarios for spectrum use over the medium to long term, including at European level.

In this context and pursuant to its Statutes, ANACOM invites all interested parties to participate in this consultation process, which will remain open for a period of 10 working days. As such, contributions should be received no later than 1 February 2013, and should be sent by email to evolucao.TDT@anacom.ptmailto:evolucao.TDT@anacom.pt 1.

Once the consultation process has been concluded, the contributions received will be made public, whereby interested parties should also submit a non-confidential version of their responses excluding items considered confidential for the purposes of publication on this website.
