Draft decision on the evolution of the digital terrestrial television network submitted to public consultation

By determination of 8 March 2013, ANACOM approved the report on the public consultation on scenarios for the evolution of the digital terrestrial television (DTT) network, launched by determination of 18 January 2013, in the scope of which comments were received from 67 bodies, namely citizens, electronic communication operators, companies setting up television broadcast reception systems and associations, as well as the Entidade Reguladora para a Comunicação Social (ERC) - the Media Regulatory Authority.

The draft decision on the DTT network evolution was also approved, and submitted to the prior hearing of PT Comunicações, under articles 100 et seq of the Administrative Procedure Code, as well as to the general consultation procedure, provided for in article 8 of the Electronic Communications Law (Law No 5/2004, of 10 February, as amended by Law No 51/2011, of 13 September). In both cases, a period of 20 working days has been provided for interested parties to comment.

This draft decision was also notified to the Entidade Reguladora para a Comunicação Social (ERC) for the purpose of article 14 of the Television Law (Law No 27/2007, of 30 July, as amended by Law No 8/2011, of 11 April).
