ITU - 3rd edition of the Young Innovators Competition


In the scope of the ''ITU Telecom World 2013'' conference, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) promotes the ''ITU Telecom World: Young Innovators Competition'', seeking to foster innovative ideas amongst the next generation of entrepreneurs, developing projects in the area of telecommunications with beneficial effects on the progress of society.

The competition is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 26, whose submissions must address one of the following thematic areas: improving employment opportunities for young people and migrant workers; reducing food wastage; facilitating access to public services for the elderly; improving natural disaster prediction and response; improving road safety for road systems; protection of personal data and creation of local digital content.

Interested parties must fill in the application form, available at the official website of ''ITU Telecom World: Young Innovators Competition'', and send it by 30 June 2013, to young.innovators@itu.intmailto:young.innovators@itu.int with ''2013 Young Innovators Competition'' in the subject line.

The ten finalists will be entitled to attend ''ITU Telecom World 2013'' in Bangkok, from 19 to 22 November 2013, and to receive funding of up to USD 10,000 per project.
