On 5 July, BEREC published guidelines on the application of articles 4 and 5 of the Roaming Regulation (EC) no. 531/2012, with regard to the separate sale of roaming. This Regulation will enter into force from 1 July 2014.
These guidelines are intended to provide a useful reference for stakeholders involved in the implementation of separate sales. The guidelines refer, in particular, to the rights and obligations of the different providers involved in the process and how best to implement interfaces and functionalities needed to fulfil the regulation with regard to the separate sale of roaming services; they cover various aspects to be taken into account by regulators according to their responsibilities in overseeing such compliance and resolving any conflicts that arise.
