The Portuguese Committee of URSI hosted its seventh congress on 22 November 2013, at Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações (Portuguese Communications Foundation) in Lisbon. The theme of this year's Congress was ''An ocean without borders: technological challenges''.
The Portuguese Committee of URSI - International Union of Radio - has the objective of stimulating, promoting and co-ordinating studies, at a national level, in the areas of radio electric, telecommunications, and electronics science. ANACOM is responsible for organising its works.
The conference presented national and international papers and projects related to its theme.
