National numbering plan has new search model

ANACOM has renewed the model for consulting and searching the PNN - Plano Nacional de Numeração (National Numbering Plan). It is now possible for users to search numbering resources included and organized in different numbering plans, such as defined under international standards or recommendations.

The new version of the PNN adds information and introduces several improvements:

  • numbering resources organized according to the following plans will be available for search: Telecommunications Numbering (E.164 ITU-T), identification of points of the ITU-T no. 7 national signalling network (Q704/Q705 ITU-T), identification of public data networks (ITU-T X.212), identification of international telecommunications card issuers (ITU-T E.118), identification of public networks and subscriptions (E.212 ITU-T), identification of TETRA mobile networks (ETSI ETS 300392-1), ported number routing prefixes (Q.769.1 ITU-T) and identification of points of the ITU-T no. 7 international signalling network (ITU-T Q.708);

  • search by numbering resources and by providers/operators;

  • downloading data extracted from the search result;

  • option of obtaining the entire PNN or only a segment/level, allowing complete or partial data to be extracted from the plan(s), and potential integration with information systems; it is also possible to extract editable data in the following formats: eXtensible Markup Language (XML), Comma-Separated Values (CSV) or Microsoft Excel (XLSX); the file is available in CSV format with UTF character set (8);

  • the search tool has the option of saving/using links and/or bookmarks, with the selected data downloaded through automated processes;

  • this content is also available in text version.

With the revamped version of the PNN search/query tool, users can quickly find the undertaking that possesses the right of use of a specific number, as allocated by ANACOM - using the previous version, this data could not be obtained immediately.

Search is also available by geographic area, allowing a user to find the code or name of a specific geographical area.

The previous version of PNN, in Excel, will be available until 31 August 2013.
