Responses to the call for papers, launched by the Portuguese Committee of URSI as it prepares for its 7th Congress must be submitted by 04.10.2013. This year's Congress takes place on 22 November 2013 and will focus on the theme ''An ocean without borders: technological challenges''.
Scientific papers may be submitted on the main theme of the congress or on the specified scientific areas, and must be original works. The selected works will be presented at the Congress.
The Portuguese Committee of URSI, with sponsorship given by ANACOM, will also award the ''ANACOM - URSI Portugal Prize'' during the Congress, rewarding the best research work in the area of radio-electricity. Entries to the prize must also be presented no later than 4 October 2013.
ANACOM also sponsors the Best Student Paper Award, seeking to encourage creativity and rigour in scientific research work by young Portuguese authors. This prize will be awarded to the best article presented by a Portuguese student. Entries to the Best Student Paper Award also close on 4 October 2013.
