Bonch-Bruevich Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunication (SPbSUT), based in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, will host the "Kaleidoscope 2014" conference from 3 - 5 June 2014. The subject of the conference is "Living in a converged world - impossible without standards?".
The event is an initiative of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) - a specialist agency of the United Nations in the field of telecommunications and the information society; its objective is to strengthen relations with academia and research institutions.
The organizers have issued a call for the submission of original academic papers on the research and development of standards (deadline 25 November 2013), and has announced a prize, worth 10 thousand US dollars to be awarded to each of the three best papers.
