On 16 September 2013, the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) published a statement on the publication of a European Commission (EC) proposal for a regulation laying down measures intended to complete the European single market for electronic communications.
BEREC supports the objectives of the EC, but expresses concern, in particular that the draft regulation will jeopardise the integrity of the EU framework and its achievements, in terms of investment, competition and consumer benefit.
