By determination of 18 October 2013, ANACOM has approved the draft decision to be notified to the European Commission (EC), the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the national regulatory authorities (NRA) of other Member States of the European Union (EU) as regards the definition of the methodology to be used to calculate the cost of capital of PT Comunicações (PTC), applicable from the 2012 financial year.
Approval was likewise given to the report of the prior hearing and public consultation to which the corresponding draft decision was submitted, following determination of 1 August 2013; under these procedures comments were received from the following undertakings: Cabovisão, Grupo Portugal Telecom (Portugal Telecom SGPS, PT Comunicações and TMN), OniTelecom and Optimus.
