DTT - Identification of geographical coordinates for the development of the DTT network

By determination of 24 October 2013, ANACOM has approved the identification and dissemination of the sets of points whose coordinates define the geographical areas associated with each of the twelve awards of frequencies, set out in Annex 1 to the decision on the development of the digital terrestrial television (DTT) network, approved on 16 May 2013.

In ICP-ANACOM's view, this identification does not constitute an amendment to the conditions set out in this prior determination, insofar as it is limited to substantiating the graphical information encompassing the awards made throughout the mainland territory.

The development of the DTT network, previously detailed on a map, is now substantiated through the identification of the geographic coordinates associated with the radio channel to be used in each of the twelve geographic areas comprising the mainland territory, so that the DTT network develops according to the determined configuration for a multi-frequency network (MFN) consisting of small single frequency networks (MFN of SFN).
