ANACOM launches frequencies website

ANACOM has launched the eNTFA Frequencies Website, an electronic platform that can be used to search for information on Portugal's National Table of Frequency Allocations, making access to this information faster, more dynamic and comprehensive.

With the eNTFA, users can consult information on the planning and use of frequencies, searching dynamically and interactively.  In particular, the website gives information on the national allocations and uses of the radio spectrum, the frequency bands reserved and available for future uses, the uses of the radio spectrum which are exempt from licensing and radio interfaces. The eNTFA provides access to a whole range of information on planned spectrum use.

The structure of the website is divided into five parts: radiocommunications and applications, with information on the subdivisions of the spectrum, detailing the radio services applicable for each frequency band; radio interfaces, with the technical specifications of the interfaces; uses of the radio spectrum which are exempt from licensing; the 4th part of website contains information on usage, provides details on the frequency bands, holders of licences/rights of use and includes other information related to the operation of publicly available electronic communication networks and services; and the fifth and final part, on frequency reservations, details the frequency bands to be made available for the operation of publicly available and non-publicly available electronic communication networks and services in the future.
