Decisions on the methodology to be used for calculating the net cost of universal service and on concept of unfair financial burden

By determination of 18 February 2014, ANACOM has approved the methodology to be used for calculating the net cost of the universal postal service and the concept of unfair financial burden for purposes of compensating the net cost of the universal service with respect to postal services.

ANACOM also approved the report on the prior hearing and public consultation to which the corresponding draft decisions were submitted following its determinations of 5 July 2013.

In response to these procedures, contributions were received from the following entities: AMD - Associação Portuguesa de Marketing Direto, Relacional e Interativo (Portuguese Association of Direct, Relational and Interactive Marketing), API - Associação Portuguesa de Imprensa (Portuguese Press Association), CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT), DECO - Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection) and the company, Notícias Direct - Distribuição ao Domicílio (Notícias Direct).
