ANACOM issues a clarification on the universal electronic communications service, following the entry into force of new contracts governing the various provisions of the universal service. These contracts were concluded between the Portuguese State and the following operators: NOS Comunicações (telephone service at a fixed location) following the acquisition of ZON TV Cabo Portugal by Optimus Comunicações, and PT Comunicações (telephone directory services and directory enquiries service and public pay-telephones).
ANACOM published this clarification in various newspapers (Público, Jornal de Notícias, Correio da Manhã, Açoriano Oriental and Diário de Notícias da Madeira).
