67th meeting of the Information, Computer and Communications Policy Committee - Paris

The 67th meeting of the OECD’s Committee on Digital Economy Policy (CDEP), formerly the Information, Computer and Communications Policy (ICCP) Committee, was held on 19-20 June in Paris. The Portuguese delegation was represented by the Foundation for Science and Technology and by ANACOM.

A joint ICCP and CDEP working party (WP) meeting was notably held to consider the OECD membership requests by Latvia and Colombia, with presentation of the respective memorandums, thereby signalling the start of technical discussions. The Secretariat also reported that the Council had suspended activities linked to the process of Russia’s membership in the OECD.

Regarding the next ministerial meeting, Mexico as host country announced the site of the event and two different dates for the Committee’s consideration: 25-27 April 2016 or 16-18 May 2016. Delegates can indicate their respective preference up to 25 July 2014.

The next Committee meeting will be held in Paris. The dates of the 68th, 69th, 70th and 71st meetings have been provisionally scheduled for 11-12 December 2014, 4-5 June 2015, 2-4 December 2015 and 22-24 February 2016, respectively.
