World Consumer Rights Day was celebrated yesterday, on 15 March 2015. To mark this date, Portugal's Direção-Geral do Consumidor (Directorate General for the Consumer) is organising and participating in a series of initiatives taking place throughout March. One of these events "Futurália" - Education, Training and Educational Guidance Fair, was held at Lisbon's Feira Internacional from 11 to 14 March; the event programme included an information session for 9th year students on the subject "Are you a responsible consumer? It's up to you".
It is priority for ANACOM that users of communications services are aware of their rights, are able to make informed choices and able to make the most out of communications services. In this respect, a number of tools are available to consumers, including in particular the ANACOM's COM.escolha tariff comparison tool, which has recently been updated with new features, as has been reported.
