A meeting between the Chair and Vice-Chairs of BEREC and the Independent Regulators Group (IRG) was held last 23 April in Shenzhen, China, in the scope of the BEREC International Mission (20-25 April).
Besides Fátima Barros, who heads ANACOM’s Board of Directors and Chairs both BEREC and the IRG this year, the participants included Wilhelm Eschweiler (Bundesnetzagentur - BNetzA), Marc Furrer (Federal Communications Commission - ComCom), Lidia Kozlowska (Office of Electronic Communications - UKE) and Kevin O’Brien (Commission for Communications Regulation - ComReg).
The meeting reviewed the current status of the legislative process concerning the proposed Connected Continent regulation, the discussion meetings with the European Commission (EC) on the Digital Single Market, and organisation of the BEREC Stakeholders Forum 2015, scheduled for this coming 15 October in Brussels.
Besides the report on implementation of the working programme, various other issues concerning BEREC’s international activity and administrative matters vis-à-vis its Office were also dealt with.
