By decision of 4 June 2015, ANACOM has approved the draft decision on the methodology to be used for calculating the CLSU - custos líquidos do serviço universal (net cost of universal service) to be applied in 2014.
Given that the methodology to be used for calculating the CLSU has been developed on an annual basis, based on the annual results of the Sistema de Contabilidade Analítica (Analytical Accounting System) used by MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, and bearing in mind that in 2014, MEO only remained universal service provider under the regulatory framework for the period prior to designation by public tender, for part of the year, it is necessary to adapt the methodology to reflect this situation.
This draft decision was submitted to a prior hearing of interested parties, in accordance with the Código do Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code) and to the general consultation procedure established pursuant to article 8 of Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?categoryId=333114). In both cases, interested parties are given a period of 20 working days to comment, so that responses to the consultation are to be submitted on later than 6 July 2015. Once the consultation process has been concluded, the contributions received will be made public. Therefore, for the purposes of publication on this website, interested parties should also submit a non-confidential version of their responses, excluding any items considered confidential.
