First ministerial meeting of the European Eastern Partnership


The first ministerial meeting of the European Eastern Partnership (EaP) has taken place on the digital economy; it was organised by the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in cooperation with the European Commission.

The meeting, which was co-chaired by the Minister of Transport of Latvia, Mr Anrijs Mat?ss, and by the Commission's Vice President Andrus Ansip, saw participation by EU ministers responsible for digital economy and their counterparts in the EaP (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). The meeting discussed the challenges and opportunities of the digital economy.
