International Telecommunication Union Consultation on Internet Exchange Points

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has launched an open consultation on its website with the aim of compiling contributions to assist in the identification of challenges and/or best practices in the design, installation and operation of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs).

Responses to this consultation will be examined at an open meeting to be held on 28 September 2015, in Geneva (Switzerland). Subsequently, contributions will be reviewed a second time by the Working Group on international Internet-related public policy issues; this will be limited to ITU Member States.

Various topics that relate to the future of the Internet have been discussed by the ITU, the UN specialized agency for communications and the information society. As such, this consultation provides all stakeholders - citizens or business - with an opportunity to participate in and influence the intense debate on these matters.

Contributions should be submitted by 28 August 2015, using the consultation page.
