Portuguese Committee of URSI: call for papers and prizes

The Portuguese Committee of URSI has issued a call for papers as part of its preparations for the 9th Congress, due to take place on 4 December 2015 in Lisbon. The theme of this year's Congress is ''5G and the Internet of the future''. Respondents may submit unpublished scientific papers on the main theme of the Congress or on the designated scientific areas no later than 19 October 2015.

The aim of this initiative is to promote the dissemination of scientific works and encourage the exchange of experience, especially among researchers, manufacturers and service providers.

Meanwhile, with sponsorship from ANACOM, the Portuguese Committee of URSI will award the ''ANACOM - URSI Portugal Prize'' to recognise the best research work in the area of Radioelectricity. Entries to the prize close on 26 October 2015.

The prize will be awarded during the Congress and has the aim of stimulating creativity and rigour in scientific research work in Portugal.

Seeking to encourage young Portuguese authors, ANACOM sponsors the Best Student Paper Award and Best Student Poster Award, to be awarded, respectively, to the best article and poster presented by students who are both the first authors and who present them at the congress. Entries must be submitted no later than 19 October 2015, together with the submission of the paper and poster. ANACOM reserves the right to require proof of academic status.
