The ERGP plenary meeting was held on 2 July in Vilnius, Lithuania, where ANACOM was represented by its Vice-Chair, José Perdigoto. The various working subgroups reported to the gathering and the following final documents were approved for publication: i) ERGP report on the result of the public consultation concerning evolution of the universal service obligation; and ii) the report titled “The Courier, Express and Parcel Segments Statistics”.

The plenary session was preceded by two workshops, one focusing on the topic of access and the other on the ERGP’s working programme (WP) for 2016. The first was chaired by Kevin O’Brien of ComReg and divided into two parts: application of article 12 of the Postal Directive and access regulation.

The workshop on the ERGP’s 2016 working programme was chaired by ERGP Vice-Chair Catalin Marinescu (ANCOM) and debated issues associated to regulatory accounting/price regulation, implementation and evolution of the USO, end-user satisfaction and monitoring of market outcomes, European cross-border e-commerce parcels delivery and application of article 12 of the Postal Directive. The preliminary version of the ERGP’s 2016 WP will be drawn up by the working group chairs and submitted for discussion at the next plenary meeting.
