On 11 August 2015, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) launched the ''ITU Telecom World Entrepreneurship Awards 2015'', aimed at micro, small and medium-sized businesses participating in ITU Telecom World 2015 and providing solutions based on information and communication technologies (ICTs) with real and sustainable social and economic impact.
The award seeks to recognise the importance of these entrepreneurs and companies, supporting and fostering technology hubs, innovation incubators and the whole range of government initiatives aimed at driving industry growth, job creation and sustainable social and economic development.
"ITU Telecom World 2015" will take place in Budapest, Hungary from 12 to 15 October.
