The European Commission (EC) has launched two further public consultations: the first on the regulatory environment for platforms, online intermediaries, data and cloud computing and the collaborative economy; and the second on Geo-Blocking and other geographically based restrictions when shopping and accessing information in the European Union (EU).
The views expressed and the information compiled as a result of the consultations will help the EC assess the need to prepare initiatives and in the actual preparation of initiatives as part of the Digital Single Market Strategy (DSM) and the Internal Market Strategy.
Both consultations will close late December 2015.
