Marking its 9th Congress, which will take place on 4th December 2015, in Lisbon, on the theme ''5G and the Internet of the future'', the Portuguese Committee of URSI has launched a call for papers (closing 19 October 2015). Interested parties may submit unpublished scientific papers on the main theme of the Congress or on defined scientific areas. The selected works will be presented at the Congress.
Aiming to encourage young Portuguese authors, ANACOM is sponsor of the Best Student Paper Award and the Best Student Poster Award, which will be allocated, respectively, to the best article and the best poster by students are both first authors and make the presentation of the work at the Congress. Applications must be submitted no later than 19 October 2015, together with the article or poster. ANACOM may require confirmation of the applicant's academic situation.
Also sponsored by ANACOM, the Portuguese Committee of URSI, will award the ''ANACOM - URSI Portugal Prize'', which rewards the best research work in the field of Radioelectricity. Applications should be submitted no later than 26 October 2015.
