The chair and vice-chairs of BEREC and the Independent Regulators Group (IRG) held a meeting last 17-18 September in Cascais.
The meeting mainly focused on discussing BEREC’s response to the European Commission (EC) about review of the regulatory framework for electronic communications. Other subjects debated included the agendas of the plenary meeting of BEREC’s Board of Regulators and Office Management Committee and of the IRG General Assembly, scheduled for 1-2 October. Also considered were preparation of the third Stakeholder Forum, BEREC’s international activity and several administrative matters concerning the Office.
The participants were the chair of ANACOM’s board of directors, Fátima Barros, who also heads BEREC and the IRG in 2015, Göran Marby (PTS), Wilhelm Eschweiler (BNetzA), Lidia Koz?owska (UKE), Kevin O’Brien (ComReg) and Marc Furrer (ComCom).
