The third meeting of the BEREC/Independent Regulators Group (IRG) Contact Network was held on 10-11 September in the Austrian town of Baden.
Among the agenda topics was presentation of BEREC’s proposed working programme for 2016 and of the proposed reports on over-the-top (OTT) services and the internet of things (IoT), to be submitted to public consultation after approval by the plenary session. Also considered was the preparation of BEREC’s response to the European Commission (EC) regarding the review of the regulatory framework for electronic communications, along with BEREC’s work following up the agreement in the scope of the telecom single market (TSM) legislative process. Several administrative questions concerning how the BEREC Office works were also examined.
At IRG level the debate mainly focused on administrative questions, especially concerning the budget and accounts.
