INE - Instituto Nacional de Estatística (Statistics Portugal) has released key findings on transport and communications activities in 2014.
In telecommunications, the report highlighted a 10.2% increase in voice traffic originating on the mobile network and a 5.7% increase in the number of subscribers to the subscription TV service, with a total of 3.4 million subscribers.
This INE publication also reports that the number of customers with broadband Internet access continued to increase in 2014, with the mobile component of this service reporting remarkable growth, both in terms of customer numbers (22%) and in terms of traffic volumes (39.5%).
