The Chairman of ANACOM's Board of Directors, Fátima Barros, has written a foreword to the catalogue of the exhibition "The Submarine Cable in a Sea of Connectivity". The exhibition is open to the public at Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações (Portuguese Communications Foundation) from 19 May 2015 to 30 April 2016.
In her foreword, Fátima Barros emphasises the submarine cable's role as "an excellent platform for the introduction of cutting edge technologies which are then gradually adopted into other networks, including Next Generation Access Networks".
