The BEREC expert working group on International Roaming (IR EWG) held a meeting on 28 October in Brussels, co-chaired by the national regulatory authorities (NRAs) of Austria (Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (RTR)) and Spain (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC)).
Key issues associated to implementation of the Roaming IV Regulations stemming from approval of the Telecoms Single Market (TSM) Regulations were discussed and particularly the response to the European Commission’s request for information about revision of the wholesale roaming market and the definition of reasonable use criteria, in the wake of information already gathered from NRAs and operators. Owing to approval of the TSM, several matters were identified which the working group should consider in 2016; the documents to produce were also specified.
The report on transparency and comparability of roaming prices for 2015 was also presented. It was indicated that the report is in the final stage of production.
