Inter-laboratory cooperation project - Lisbon, 13-15.10.2015

The Portuguese and Hungarian administrations have laboratories accredited in accordance with standard NP EN ISO/IEC 17025. One of that standard’s requisites is that it is mandatory for accredited laboratories to participate in inter-laboratory comparison programmes to enable verification of their technical competence.

In 2015 ANACOM invited its Hungarian counterpart (the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH)) to conduct a bilateral comparison in the areas of radio and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). ANACOM’s LEC testing and calibration laboratory in Barcarena therefore hosted on 13-15 October an NMHH delegation taking part in the comparison of radiated emission tests in accordance with standards EN 300 220 and EN 300 440 in the radio area and of disruptive radiated electric field and disruptive voltage for power terminals in accordance with harmonised standard EN 55 022, in the EMC area.

Besides confirming both laboratories’ technical competence in the areas of radio and EMC testing, an enriching exchange of knowledge and experience in other areas also occurred, specifically regarding radio tests, other electromagnetic compatibility tests and the labs’ quality management systems.
