The first meeting of drafters as well as the meeting of BEREC’s expert working group on Next Generation Networks (NGN EWG) were held on 3-5 November in Brussels.
The drafters meeting served to begin the discussion and prepare a questionnaire on the challenges and promotion of next generation networks (NGNs). The NGN EWG meeting served in turn to present the report on Interconnection in Internet Protocol (IP) at European level, to be submitted to public consultation; the projects to be carried out by the group in 2016 were also presented and discussed.
Lastly, on 5 November the drafters discussed and began drawing up BEREC’s future common position on layer 2 (Ethernet) wholesale access products (L2WAP), which should be placed in public consultation after the second BEREC plenary meeting in 2016.
