Analysis of the market of high-quality electronic communications at a fixed location (business segment)

On 10 March 2016, ANACOM approved a draft decision concerning the definition of the market of high-quality electronic communications at a fixed location, assessment of significant market power and the imposition, maintenance, amendment or withdrawal of regulatory obligations.

It was decided to submit this draft decision to a prior hearing of interested parties, in accordance with articles 121 and 122 of the CPA - Código de Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code) and to the general consultation procedure provided for in article 8 of Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=975162). In both cases, stakeholders are granted a period of 30 working days to comment in writing (in Portuguese).

Simultaneously, it was decided to request the opinion of Autoridade da Concorrência (Portuguese Competition Authority) under legally prescribed terms.
