ANACOM makes available for consultation the list of parishes with access and coverage of fixed high speed networks, using fibre-optic and cable television distribution networks1.
This information allows the user to know whether a given parish is provided with fixed high speed network coverage and what is the level of service coverage in such location: lower than or equal to 1%; between1% and 25%(inclusively); between 25% and 50% (inclusively); and higher than 50%.
The establishment of such a list was based on the following data:
- Number of cabled dwellings, on 30 September 2014 (data submitted by operators2);
- Number of conventional private dwellings, per parish (INE, 2011 Census);
- Information on parishes provided by the Direção-Geral do Território (the Territory General Directorate) - Carta Administrativa Oficial de Portugal (CAOP, Official Administrative Map of Portugal) for 2014.
This information will be updated as new data is submitted to ANACOM by operators.
