By decision of 12 May 2016, ANACOM has approved the issue of the title of a right of use of frequencies to INMARSAT Ventures Limited (INMARSAT) for the mobile satellite service in the national territory, in the 1980-1995 MHz and 2170-2185 MHz frequency sub-bands, covering satellite and terrestrial components.
Approval was also given to the report of the prior hearing to which the respective draft decision was submitted (draft decision of 25 June 2015 on the issue of a right of use of frequencies to INMARSAT for the mobile satellite service in Portugal in the 2 GHz band).
This decision also approved rectification of paragraph 2.1 of ANACOM's decision of 25 June 2015 to award the right of use of frequencies to INMARSAT for mobile satellite services in the 2 GHz band (rectification made pursuant to article 174 of the Código do Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code)).
