Regulations approved for operation of Radio Data System (RDS)

By decision of 2 June 2016, ANACOM has approved the Regulation governing operation of the Radio Data System (RDS), pursuant to article 12 of Decree-Law no. 272/98 of 2 September (as amended by Decree-Law no. 248/2015 of 28 October).

Approval has also been given to the report of the public consultation to which the respective draft decision was submitted (draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1380368 approved on 4 February 2016). In response to the consultation, timely contributions were received from APR - Associação Portuguesa de Radiodifusão (Portuguese Broadcasting Association) and ERC - Entidade Reguladora para a Comunicação Social (Media Regulatory Authority).
