By decision of 14 July 2016, ANACOM has approved the public consultation report on the implementation of the common position of the European Regulators Group (ERG) on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and the conditions governing the use of geographic, nomadic and mobile numbers. It was also determined to commence a procedure to prepare a Regulation aimed at setting out rules to govern the use of geographic and mobile numbers in nomadic situations.
In the context of the consultation, approved by ANACOM on 30 July 2010, contributions were received within the specified time limit from the following undertakings: Optimus Comunicações, Grupo PT (Portugal Telecom SGPS, PT Comunicações, TMN - Telecomunicações Móveis Nacionais, PT Prime, PT Corporate), Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais, ZON TV Cabo Portugal and its subsidiaries, and one provider of nomadic VoIP services wishing to remain anonymous, ACOP - Associação de Consumidores de Portugal, Direção Geral do Consumidor (Directorate General for the Consumer) and Fenacoop - Federação Nacional das Cooperativas de Consumidores (National Federation of Consumer Cooperatives). A contribution was also received from DECO - Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection) but not within the stipulated time limit.
