The Portuguese Committee of URSI has launched a call for papers in preparation for its 10th congress, which will take place on 18 November, 2016, in Lisbon, which will have the theme "Communications in safety and emergency scenarios."
Aiming to encourage young Portuguese authors, ANACOM is sponsoring the Best Student Paper Award, aimed at the best article in the call for papers on the theme of the congress or the specified scientific areas. This prize will be awarded to a student who is both the first author of the article and makes the presentation at the conference. Applications must be submitted by 10 October, 2016, along with the article, and ANACOM may require confirmation of the academic situation.
The Portuguese Committee of URSI, sponsored by ANACOM, will also award the ''ANACOM-URSI Portugal Prize'', distinguishing the best research paper in the area of radioelectricity. Applications may be submitted within the same period, i.e. until 10 October 2016.
