ANACOM Alerts - installing communications services

As part of the "ANACOM Alerts" initiative, launched to strengthen the information that ANACOM makes available to consumers on specific sector issues, reflecting the main issues raised in complaints, the following article was published on 10 September (Correio da Manhã) and 11 September (Jornal de Notícias):

Installing communications services

  • Providers must include a deadline in their contracts for initial connection of the service and specify the compensation that the customer will receive in the event that the deadline is not met.
  • In there is a delay in installing the service that is not your responsibility, you can ask your provider to pay you the compensation specified in the contract.
  • In case of dispute with your provider, you can refer to a Consumer Dispute Arbitration Centre or magistrate's court.
