Printed telephone directories only upon request

Do you need a printed telephone directory? Ask the universal service provider, MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO). To order a directory, simply call 808 204 204, between 9:00 and 5:00 pm, or register online at www.118net.pt http://www.118net.pt/, from 10 October and no later than 16 November 2016 (deadline for ordering the 2017 directory).

Telephone directories will only be delivered to those who specifically request them in advance. They will be provided free of charge when corresponding to the area of the customer’s residence. Anyone who needs more than one directory or directories from other regions will also have to request them. In this case, the directories may be collected from the two MEO stores designated for this purpose, one in Lisbon and another in Porto, at no cost, or sent by post to an indicated address (subject to delivery charges).

An information campaign on the availability of the 2017/2018 printed telephone directory is being run in the press and on the radio by MEO.

MEO won the tender which the government launched to award the universal service provision of a comprehensive telephone directory and a comprehensive directory enquiry service. As such, the company is required to make printed directories available on an annual basis, covering all telephone subscribers (fixed and mobile) and including customers of other operators other than MEO, provided they have authorised inclusion of their data. MEO is also required to provide the telephone directory in electronic format - at www.118net.pt http://www.118net.pt/ - and make data available through a directory enquiries service (number 118).
