NOWO&ONI is a telecommunications and entertainment group which offers fixed and mobile next generation solutions for Pay TV, internet, voice and data to all market segments – Residential, Personal, Corporate and Wholesale. It NOWO has approximately 200K of Pay TV, Fixed Broadband Fixed Voice Customers and 50K Mobile subscribers in Portugal.

Miguel was Vice President of the Board and of Chief Technology Officer of NOS. NOS Is a telecommunications and entertainment group which offers fixed and mobile next generation solutions for Pay TV, internet, voice and data to all market segments – Residential, Personal, Corporate and Wholesale. It is the leader in Pay TV, Next Generation Broadband services and in Cinema Exhibition and Distribution in Portugal ZON OPTIMUS has approximately 1.6 million Pay TV customers, 900 thousand Fixed Broadband customers, 1.4 million Fixed Voice Customers and 3.6 million Mobile subscribers in Portugal.
UNITEL, SA
Miguel Martins at the aged 44, was appointed Chief Executive of UNITEL, SA after the AGM on January 2010. UNITEL is the largest mobile operator in the two-player Angolan market, with over 8 million customers and a annual turnover of USD 2 B.
VODAFONE
The early part of his career was within the Vodafone family for 9 years. His last appointment was being Chief Technology Officer for Vodafone Group Internet Services in UK.
He held the role of Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Portugal for 4 years.
Prior to his appointment as CTO he was General Director for Network Engineering & Operations in Portugal.
CISCO SYSTEMS
Before joining Vodafone in 2001 Miguel spent 5 years at Cisco Systems where he was responsible for the Technical Support in Southern Europe (Italy, Spain and Portugal) .
Miguel graduated from Lisbon University with an MBA in Electronic & Telecommunications Engineering and obtained a specialized Degree in ISDN & Network Engineering from IST & Portugal Telecom.
