Workshop Net Neutrality - public session for debate and reflection


On 16 November 2016, at the Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (IAPMEI), in Lisbon, a ''Workshop Net Neutrality - Sessão Pública de Debate e Reflexão'' is taking place, jointly organised by ANACOM and by the Portugal Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC Portugal).

João Confraria, Member of the Board of Directors, will represent ANACOM in the “Mesa redonda - perspetivas em confronto” (Round Table - conflicting perspectives), while Pedro Ferreira, from the Directorate for Foreign Affairs (European Union), will participate in the panel “O regulamento europeu e as linhas de orientação do BEREC" (European Regulation and BEREC guidelines) and Paulo Serra, from the Supervisory Board, will take part in the panel “Qualidade de serviço: como aferir?” (Quality of service: how to measure it?).

This event takes place under the “Fórum para a Sociedade da Informação - Governação da Internet 2016” (Forum for the Information Society - Internet Governance 2016), jointly organised by the following entities: ANACOM, APDSI, DNS.PT Association, ERC, FCT, IAPMEI and ISOC Portugal. This year the Forum is organized around multiple themes, such as the future of Internet governance, net neutrality, access and digital inclusion, with some including the holding of workshops.

As part of this, on 15 November 2016, in IAPMEI’s Noble Hall the “Workshop Governação da Internet para um crescimento inclusivo” (Internet Governance Workshop for inclusive growth), will take place, in which ANACOM will be represented by Carlos Costa, from the Directorate for Support to the Council (Study Area), who will participate in the round table.
