ANACOM informs that the use of the 1850-2000 kHz band is authorized, subject to conditions set out in the National Table of Frequency Allocations (NTFA), for the purpose of participation in the following contests in the course of 2017:

- 01 to 02.04.2017 - SP DX Contest;
- 08 to 09.04.2017 - JIDX Contest (CW);
- 15 to 16.04.2017 - YU DX Contest;
- 29 to 30.04.2017 - Helvetia Contest;
- 06 to 07.05.2017 - ARI International DX Contest;
- 20 to 21.05.2017 - His Majesty The King of Spain Contest (CW);

This authorization is in line with paragraph 3 of article 5 of Decree-Law No. 151-A/2000, of 20 July, as amended by Decree-Law No. 264/2009, of 28 September.
The authorization for temporary use of the 1850-2000 kHz band does not cover other uses within the scope of the amateur service, or the use by any other radiocommunication services.
Moreover, broadcasts associated to this use are not allowed to create interferences in other radiocommunication services, whereby any interfering broadcast in the referred band shall be immediately terminated.
These usages must comply, where appropriate, with provisions in Decree-Law No. 53/2009, of 2 March.
It must be stressed that no bound for ANACOM, or any legally protected right, expectation or interest, is to be inferred from this authorization in the future as far as this frequency band is concerned.
