A joint BEREC/Euro-Mediterranean Regulators Group (EMERG) workshop was held last 5-6 December in Brussels to debate the regulatory approach to voice services, especially regarding international roaming.
It was therefore attended by the co-chair of the BEREC expert working group on International Roaming. Discussions focused on the Roaming Regulation and the Telecoms Single Market (TSM), specifically regulation of wholesale prices, transparency provisions and regulatory powers. Also discussed were examples of regional regulation of roaming services, as well as common challenges and perspectives of work on roaming in EMERG in 2017.
