Brussels hosted last 5 December a meeting of the Postal Directive Committee, dedicated to presentation of the current situation regarding the proposed regulation on cross-border delivery of e-commerce parcels, the European Parliament’s resolution on application of the Postal Directive, and two postal studies the European Commission will produce in 2017. Also presented were the conclusions from the 2016 Universal Postal Union (UPU) Congress held in Istanbul; the subject of statistics and postal standardisation was also discussed.
