The year’s first meeting of the BEREC Board of Regulators (BoR) and the BEREC Office’s Management Committee (MC), as well as the General Assembly of the Independent Regulators Group (IRG), took place last 23-24 February in Paris.
Highlights of the issues dealt with at BoR level include approval of the project requirement documents on BEREC’s mid-term strategy for 2018-2020, approval of the document on the public consultation strategy and discussion of BEREC’s position vis-à-vis the review of the regulatory framework. Also, the “Draft Summary Report on the Outcomes of the Workshop on IoT technologies and Their Impact on Regulation” and the “Draft BEREC Update Survey on the Implementation and Application of the Universal Service Provisions – a synthesis of the results” were approved for publication.
At MC level a number of administrative questions concerning how the BEREC Office works were considered.
The IRG General Assembly likewise dealt with administrative issues, discussion of the 2017 budget and topics of the IRG workshops to be held this year.
